Edit text faster with quick AI Content Assistant actions

We've added the ability to add inline binding to a page's head HTML. Until now you could connect a Dynamic Page's meta title and meta description to the site’s internal collection, to dynamically show metadata for each page item.

So what’s new? You can now add other metadata, and insert custom code to the Dynamic Page's head HTML. Another option that’s now possible is to connect Content Library fields to the <head> section of regular (non-Dynamic) site pages.

We’ve added the option to quickly log in to other workspaces you might need to when working on multiple accounts.

Your Duda profile menu now includes the option to Change Workspace. Opting for this option will show you the available accounts, and clicking each of these will put you through the login to the other account.

New Title

We’ve made a few product updates to our Collections management area in the Content Library, to help you build sites based on datasets better and faster. Here we go:

Import data or an entire collection from a CSV file

This is an option many of you asked for with regards to internal collections: you can now import an entire dataset to a blank internal collection, add new collection rows or update the data of an existing one, all using a simple CSV file upload.

This lets you quickly manage and update the content of multiple Dynamic pages in bulk, for example, importing ‘sold’ real-estate listings into an existing properties database instead of doing it manually one by one.

To start with the import, simply go to your internal collection and select the Import from CSV menu action item. For a newly created collection, make sure you first set up all the collection fields you plan to add with the right names and types.

Next, download the CSV template file, update your data, and save. Upload that saved file into the designated area and voila. If there are any issues with your imported data, we’ll show you a quick report to let you know what didn’t go through and how to fix it.

Please note that the import feature currently supports the following fields: plain text, rich text, and images (images with links only - other images won’t upload).

Manage non-Dynamic pages connected to your site collection better and faster

Enabling data from a collection on regular site pages isn’t new. What we improved, however, is the experience of making it happen. Now, we’ll show you a popup to explain what’s about to happen and include a handy dropdown menu where you can quickly click to select the non-Dynamic site pages you want to connect to the collection, instead of manually typing in the page path.

What’s the use case for connecting a collection to regular site pages?

We know that some agencies prefer to let clients edit their site content by filling out collection fields, rather than by editing the text directly on the canvas in the editor, to minimize the risk of unintentionally breaking the design. If this is a concern for you, too, using an internal collection for content might work for you.

Easily make buttons and other linkable widgets  click-to-call or click-to-email CTAs

You can now link phone and email fields to widgets that can bind to entire collections, like image or product galleries, lists, or even media slider widgets. This means that fields like buttons in, say, the Photo Gallery can act as click-to-call or click-to-email CTAs based on the type of field they are linked to. The result? A boost in conversions.

Those were our recent updates to Duda’s Collections, and we’ve got more coming up. In the meantime, if there’s any special feature you’d like to see in our Collections or Dynamic pages, feel free to post it on the Duda Idea Board.
