Duda's AI Features: Frequently Asked Questions

Duda integrates powerful AI tools to help you build and manage websites more efficiently. These tools are designed to be a helpful assistant. This FAQ provides transparency on how our AI features work.

Duda might have integrations with third parties (via the App Store, Zapier, and more) that may integrate AI technology. Utilizing Duda's MCP server enables AI tools to directly interact with your Duda account, facilitating actions such as content modification and publication, domain alterations, and user management. The use of MCP is advised to be supervised and is undertaken at your own discretion. This FAQ does not apply to such third party integrations, but instead addresses applications incorporated in Duda’s Platform.

Which AI providers does Duda use?

To provide our AI features, Duda integrates with various AI models from the leading third-party AI providers. As of the date above, these include:

OpenAI (provider of ChatGPT)

Anthropic

Google (provider of Gemini)

Runware (Image generation)

*We may add or remove providers to ensure we are offering the best available technology.*

Do these third-party providers train their models on my data?

No. Your privacy and data security are critical. We have specific agreements with our AI providers that prohibit them from using any data from your account (including your inputs or your customers' data) to train their models. The one exception to this rule is AEO Services, which require to train on some information in order to be effective. However, if you connect Duda’s MCP to an AI tool, your terms with your AI tool apply.

Who owns the content and intellectual property (IP)?

Our standard terms govern the ownership of AI-generated content. In short:

You own your Input. You bear the responsibility for the text or prompts that are entered into the AI tools.
We assign the Output to you. As between you and Duda, you own the output generated by the AI. Duda claims no ownership of the content added to the Platform. However, AI Output may generate content that is similar to other output. You’re responsible for verifying the licensing and commercial restrictions of generated content.

*Please be aware that due to the nature of AI, the output you receive may not be unique, and other users could receive the same or similar results. We always recommend editing the outputs of AI.*

What are the risks and limitations I should be aware of?

AI is a powerful tool, but it has limitations. You are responsible for the final use of any AI-generated content. Please be aware that AI output:

Can be inaccurate or incomplete. Always review and verify any factual claims, data, or important information before publishing or relying on it.
May not be original. The AI may generate content that is similar to existing content.
Can reflect biases from the data it was trained on.
Is not a substitute for professional advice. Do not use the AI for legal, financial, medical, or other professional advice.

What happens when I use the AI chat to perform an action?

When you instruct the AI to perform an action, such as "publish my site," you are issuing a command to the Duda platform. Such actions are executed immediately and, in certain limited cases, may not be undone.
Performing these actions via chat is the same as clicking the corresponding button in the user interface. All actions are governed by your existing contract with Duda, and any resulting fees will be invoiced according to your contract terms.
For a complete understanding of your rights and obligations, please refer to our full Terms of Service. If you are a self serve / SMA customer, your use is governed by the Duda Terms of Service. If you are a Mid Market, IVR, managed account, or enterprise customer whose agreement references the Mid Market terms, your use is governed by the Duda Mid Market Terms. If your written agreement with Duda contains different terms, that agreement controls to the extent of any conflict.
