We’ve added 5 new design updates to Editor 2.0 we thought you’d like to know about, as these will help you build sites that not only look great, but also help to convert visitors and drive them to act online.

Make entire flex containers linkable

You can now add a link to any flex container, whether it’s a section, a column, an inner column, or an advanced grid, thus making its entire area clickable. This is especially great because it gives you all the design freedom you want to drive conversion on your site.

Elements inside the container can have their own links, too!

You can still have elements within that linkable container with links of their own, so any buttons, icons, or images with links included within that container can still point elsewhere.

Some use cases for your inspiration

You can create a card with text & an image while making the whole column linkable. Another option - add a mega menu to your navigation and make one of its columns linkable as a whole, in addition to so many other ways.

Check out this quick example to see it in action:

Strike the right balance between design and readability with a site-wide page width setting

You can now set your desired maximum width of all the pages of a certain site, using the new Width & Spacing panel under Site Theme in the editor. There, you’ll have the option to choose one of the preset widths (1200px or 1440px), or choose the custom option of setting your own exact width between 960px and 1920px.

What this setting essentially does is set the max width of all the sections in your site that haven’t been set to display in full width. This will help ensures a unified look across all pages and sections with a clean, professional design.

Faster & easier mega menu editing

To keep you in the zone while designing headers with mega menus, you can now edit the section the moment it previews on hover—right from the Navigation widget. No more digging through settings or searching for the right layer in the layers panel. Just hover, click, and go.

New Template: Wedding Venue

We’ve got a stunningly designed new template you can start using for your upcoming site projects - the Wedding Venue template. It comes built in with the latest design and UX best practices, and offers a beautiful color palette, font design to get you started or inspired, and stunning scrolling animations including:

  • Pinned columns to create an effect where one side of the content scrolls while the other remains fixed, to grab attention
  • Text sliding on scroll
  • Images sliding from the top and bottom on scroll

Change section layouts with a click - on the desktop breakpoint

We’re excited to share that now you can set unique layouts per section on the desktop breakpoint in your design, something that was only available on the tablet and mobile breakpoints until now. This new option will help you achieve more complex designs a lot easier and faster.

In addition, it means you can:

  • Rearrange columns in a single section without needing to add new ones or inner columns
  • Build advanced, flexible designs faster
  • Create stunning layouts without needing to dive into pro tutorials :)

Those were our latest design updates. Enjoy :)
