It All Started As a Side Job
In 2015, Frank Brinks started building websites as a side job. With a background in marketing and sales, he had plenty of experience working with eCommerce and managing online projects.
Living in the eastern part of the Netherlands, Frank knew many small businesses and self-employed professionals in the region who were struggling to build and maintain their websites. So, he offered his services to manage WordPress and Elementor sites. He also started using the Do-It-Yourself (DIY) editor of a Dutch hosting company to build new sites.
After a while, he discovered that the editor he was using – and loving – was, in fact, Duda's white label solution. So when his clients started to demand more complex websites, he decided to create his own Duda account to have full access to all of the platform's features. And when the COVID-19 pandemic hit, he was ready to focus on his own agency.
Now, Frank Brinks Online Resultaat has 60 clients who pay a monthly fee to have their websites on Duda. "I love the Duda editor because you can build and manage websites very easily, much easier than using WordPress or Elementor. There are no bugs, no contact forms that don't work, no issues with updates, and no conflicting plugins," says Frank.
Creating Websites That Always Work
According to Frank, most of his clients just want a website that works, no matter the platform. They are therapists, coaches, physiotherapists, plumbers, acupuncturists, freelancers, and restaurants, among many others.
"Some clients say they want a WordPress website. So, I ask them: 'Why do you want a WordPress website?' They say they have heard it's very good and cheap, which is not true," says Frank. After learning about the challenges of building and maintaining a site on WordPress, the majority of Frank's clients choose to build on Duda.
"My clients love Duda. The editor is easy to add content, change pages, and build beautiful sites. Elementor is much more complicated. Those clients who had a WordPress website in the past are much happier now with Duda," says Frank.
He adds that clients are also happier about their websites' speed and performance. With WordPress, he would always get customers complaining that their websites were slow or not working at all.
Building a New Website in a Few Days
With Duda, Frank can build and deliver most websites in 3 working days. He works with a network of freelancers and Duda Experts that provide any website development he can't do himself.
His process for building a new website is straightforward. After meeting the client and gathering all the requirements for the site, Frank sends a work proposal. Once the proposal is approved, he creates 3 to 5 different designs on the Duda editor – usually based on existing templates – so the client can choose from one of them.
After the design is approved, some clients prefer to log in to the platform and edit the content themselves. Others send all text and images to Frank’s agency. In a few days, the site is ready to go live.
"Most of my time goes to talking to customers and managing the projects. Thanks to Duda, building websites takes very little time and goes really quick. And, I don't have to worry that my clients' websites will stop working," says Frank.
Happy Clients Bring More Clients
The agency's pricing model includes charging a fee for building the website and a monthly fee for hosting and support. Most clients are satisfied because they can call for help or request small changes on their websites.
Frank says that these happy Duda customers help him get more clients because they talk about it to other businesses. He plans on having 50 websites built on Duda in the next 2 years.
"With Duda, I can easily build sites that are always working. And If I need help, Duda Support is great. You can't chat with WordPress to fix things, while Duda's Support is always there to help you."
