Last month we introduced our innovative drag & drop media panel that sits alongside the canvas, giving your design workflow a serious boost. You can view your site and media side by side, then drag images directly onto your page to replace existing ones or add new content.

Today we're excited to announce that this media panel now supports videos and icons too. Simply drag any media file from the left panel and drop it exactly where you want it placed. Simple as that.

Works with any compatible widget

Just like images, you can now drag and drop videos and icons directly onto your canvas (can be ones you uploaded or new ones you’ve searched for). Use videos with any video-compatible widget and icons with any icon-compatible widget. These additions give you even greater productivity when building in the editor.

See your uploaded videos and icons there, too!

Just as it works with images you’ve uploaded to the site, the new media panel will also show you the videos and icons you’ve uploaded, so you can easily access everything alongside the canvas while working on your page.

Go ahead and try it for yourself - go to a site you're building in editor 2.0, hit the Media icon on the left panel and start dragging and dropping media files, whether these are images, videos, or icons.
