Assign special tax rates to certain products with the new tax groups

We’ve added a new tax groups feature in the native store, allowing you and your eComm clients to configure and apply different tax rates to specific product categories. This feature is particularly valuable for businesses operating in regions with reduced or special tax rates for certain products like books, food, alcohols, and more.

Here are this update’s highlights worth knowing:

  • This lets you assign unique tax rates to product groups and essentially override the default tax settings you have per region

  • This option is particularly useful for specific countries or regions, like for Germany (7% VAT on books vs. the country’s default 19% VAT)

Plus, you can now apply shipping tax overrides

In addition to the tax groups, you can customize the way taxes are applied to shipping fees per tax zone using shipping tax overrides. This is especially beneficial in cases where some regions exempt tax from shipping or have different tax rates. This update gives you more control over these cases.

Hide related videos from your embedded YouTube video

Now, when a YouTube video you added to the site finishes playing on your live site, it will no longer show related videos from YouTube if you choose so. We’ve added a simple toggle option in the video widget’s settings panel you can use to enable hiding related videos.

Enjoy improved webhooks support for UTM parameters

We now support additional flexibility in UTM data for webhooks, mainly additional standard and dynamic UTM parameters. This will allow you to gain deeper insights into your marketing campaigns by capturing more detailed and flexible UTM data. This will also simplify tracking for diverse ad platforms, and can automate data collection for custom UTM parameters without requiring additional configuration.

So, what did we do?

The webhook will now recognize and process the following standard UTM parameters:

  • utm_source : Identifies the traffic source (e.g., Google, Facebook, Apple Search).
  • utm_medium : Specifies the marketing channel (e.g., PPC, social, email).
  • utm_campaign : Tracks specific campaign names or IDs.
  • utm_term : Captures search keywords (used for paid search).
  • utm_content : Differentiates similar content within a campaign (e.g., for A/B testing).
  • utm_id : Identifies the ad campaign reference.

For dynamic custom UTM parameters, here’s what we did:

Any parameter prefixed with  utm_  (e.g.,  utm_custom ) will be captured dynamically, offering flexibility for custom tracking needs.

What about broad ad platform compatibility?

The solution is designed to work seamlessly with UTM parameters from various ad platforms, including Google Ads, Facebook Ads, Apple Search Ads, and more.

Please keep in mind that this update is focused on UTM parameters and doesn’t yet necessarily support capturing all arbitrary URL parameters.
